About

I love to run, cook, travel, read, and sing. I currently reside in Utah, USA.

I am a recent graduate of Brigham Young University's English language and editing programs. The editing program at BYU is very in-depth and trains its students in a wide variety of skills. I learned techniques used in editing both fiction and non-fiction, informal and academic writing. I was also trained in InDesign and Photoshop. I love doing layout and working with text to make something beautiful.

I completed a four month internship with BYU's Intercultural Outreach Program, where I had the opportunity to edit lesson plans that will be used in elementary and secondary school classrooms.

I am very familiar with the Chicago Manual of Style and have a basic knowledge of other styles.

I am slowly building a clientele and am eager to accommodate you in whatever way I can. I have posted my rates on this site, but if the editing you want done doesn't correlate with what I have listed we can work something out together. I like to think of myself as being a friendly and reasonable person, and I am more than happy to work out an agreement personally tailored to you.

I have worked as an editor for an online editing service called EditMyEnglish, which gave me great experience in editing the writing of those who are not native English speakers. However, I am in love with freelancing. I have the best clients and I get to work on the most interesting stories. I currently work as a technical writer for SirsiDynix. This job is great fun but fiction editing is my passion. With a full-time job I won't be able to do as much freelance editing as I would like, but I am still maintaining this business and will be available for projects of any size. Negotiations will have to be made regarding the project timeline, but I'm sure I can meet your needs.
