Copyediting
$3.00 per 250 words for projects under 12,500 words
$2.00 per 250 words for projects between 12,500 and 31,250 words
$1.25 per 250 words for projects over 31,250 words
This would mainly be editing for grammar and spelling errors. This can be done this as a stand-alone if you are happy with your writing or as a follow-up after a substantive edit. We can go through as many copyedits as you would like until you are satisfied with the outcome.
Substantive Editing
$3.50 per 250 words for projects under 12,500 words
$3.00 per 250 words for projects between 12,500 and 31,250 words
$2.00 per 250 words for projects over 31,250 words
This type of editing helps with the voice, word choice, and clarity of your writing. I will make suggestions for improving your writing, but please remember that the final decision is always up to you.
Layout and Design
$7 per hour
This is done with Adobe InDesign CS5 however it can be done using Microsoft Word if you prefer. I can design the layout for a document or put it into layout using a design you already have.
I am also able to help you format your document as an .epub file for e-readers such as the kindle and nook.
