Do you take payments through PayPal?

Yes I do. During our communication I will give you the email address that is associated with my account. If you decide to pay with PayPal, I apply a 4% service charge to cover PayPal fees.

Why do you charge according to the word count?

I have found this to be the easiest way to charge my clients. It is easier for me than keeping track of hours and it allows for an accurate estimate.

I've looked at your rates and feel that I won't be able to afford the total price for what I'd like you to do. Will you negotiate your rates?

YES! I am more than willing to work within your budget. If you will be sending me enough projects that the word count totals over the necessary 31,250 words for the cheaper rate, I will total it up on your invoice. I will gladly work within your budget or negotiate with you so that we are both satisfied with the final agreement.

I have a book I've written that I want edited, but it seems like a waste of money if no one is ever going to read my story.

Self-publishing (especially e-publishing) is a good way to get your story into the world and to be paid for your effort. Even five years ago taking this route was looked down on by the literary world, but with the emergence of the e-reader more and more authors are by-passing the big publishing houses and distributing their books to the public through Amazon.com and other similar sites.

I certainly can. I am familiar with Amazon.com's steps for e-publishing and am willing to learn other sites' requirements. I am also learning how to use InDesign to create an e-pub file.
